Adeeb Khan, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Executive Director of Delta Dental of Colorado (DDCO) Foundation
Leadership Foundation Alumni: Leadership Denver 2017 and Leadership Exchange 2018-2019
Adeeb grew up working in the small-town motel in Wyoming that his parents bought after they immigrated to the United States from Pakistan. Although he entered college wanting to be a sports reporter, a visit to Pakistan, as well as the events of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Katrina, inspired him to want to do more, particularly for those who faced disparities.
He channels his passion for providing equal opportunities for all Coloradans through his work at the DDCO Foundation. Within months of starting at DDCO, COVID-19 hit and Adeeb was among the first to recognize how much this pandemic would disrupt our society and our economy. He helped DDCO establish a $2 million community relief fund to help oral health care providers and the community as a whole and advocated for mental health resources for DDCO employees. He was instrumental in setting up the Colorado COVID Relief Fund, reading 300-plus grant applications within weeks to get funding out to those in need as quickly as possible.
Before DDCO, Adeeb made a name for himself as a committed partner through his roles at TIAA, Mile High United Way and the American Red Cross. Outside of work, Adeeb was appointed by Gov. Jared Polis to the Colorado Early Childhood Leadership Commission and serves on the University of Denver Daniels College of Business Executive Advisory Board and the boards of College Track, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and B:CIVIC. He has been recognized as a Downtown Champion by the Downtown Denver Partnership and one of Denver’s Top 40 Under 40 by the Denver Business Journal.
