An inclusive leadership journey begins when we understand our biases and tendencies to lean toward our preferences. In order to actively become an inclusive leader, seeking out different perspectives in our personal life, on our teams, and within our community is what will empower us to make more inclusive and equitable decisions. The previous Virtual Voices sessions introduced us to how we can deepen our understanding of our journey in becoming an inclusive leader. A leader who advocates for the voices often unnoticed. At our next Virtual Voices session, we will hear from local nonprofit leaders who are practicing inclusive leadership with authenticity. Our panelists will share how they’ve embraced diverse perspectives and galvanized community support in creating equitable opportunities for first-generation, college-bound high school students, as well as immigrant and refugee communities. Learn how to apply their approach to your own life and respective industry, creating new spaces to learn diverse perspectives that result in innovative ideas and collaborative outcomes.
