Virtual Voices | How Did We Get Here? Part Two
February 18, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
You must formally register in advance of this session: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMufumvrzIqE9BojMEqg-1Hn9C04Kw-2So0
We build upon our first session to examine Denver and Colorado’s long struggle to come to grips with the region’s racial history that still impacts us today. This conversation will challenge us to directly confront what racism means for Coloradoans and to provide ideas about what an antiracist and equitable practice of history looks like as we work together as colleagues, collaborators, and allies.
Speakers:
- Moderator: Dr. Tom Romero, interim Vice Chancellor for Diversity Equity and Inclusion at the University of Denver
- Hasira “Soul” Ashemu, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer at Righteous Rage Institute
- Magdelana “Maggie” Red, Co-founder of EquityIs.org and Equity Labs
